Looking For Your Favourite Portuguese Restaurant In Petersham?
It goes without saying that Petersham has become what is commonly referred to as ‘little Portugal’ and the reason for that is because there are so many Portuguese Restaurants in Petersham. You’d be forgiven for thinking that you are in Portugal when you are in Petersham due to the number of authentic Portuguese restaurants.
Petersham’s original Portuguese restaurant
You may already be aware of the fact that Gloria’s Cafe and restaurant was actually the first Portuguese restaurant in Sydney and began it’s operation way back in 1988. Actually, if you believe in the Feng Shui of numbers, Gloria’s Cafe and Restaurant actually opened on the 8th of the 8th, 1988. Having said that, it’s not as a result of lucky numbers that Gloria’s has survived and thrived, as the service, serving sizes and range of menu is just amazing.
For the Petersham area, we are able to cater for up to 70 welcomed guests, serving around 40 inside, and on those warm summer and spring nights, you can enjoy around 30 seats outside. Having said that, during winter we do provide beautiful warm heaters for those still keen to be seated outside.
Why not get a group of friends together
One of the common elements with Portuguese style dining is the wonderful and friendly atmosphere where you feel like you are being treated like family. Once you get to know the owner, Gloria, you’ll understand how warm and giving she is and how just slip in as part of her family. Gloria has always been surrounded by a fantastic team ready to serve you their best Portuguese main meals, desserts, coffee’s and some of the best Tapas in Sydney. You really should check out our main menu and our takeaway menu, just in case you need to eat on the run or enjoy your Authentic Portuguese meal at home with loved ones.
